ULearn09 Presentation

My Class Wiki Page

Download Google SketchUp

Download Lego Digital Designer

I will be adding further information sheets, etc to support both of these asap after ULearn 09. In the meantime just have a wee play and see what you can do. Experimentation and making mistakes is the best way to find out what you can do. It also gives you an appreciation of what it's like for your kids.

Other Maths Ideas

  • Podcast Pose a maths challenge question and provide an email address (maybe gmail or similar rather than school email) for people to share their answers. Announce the winner during your next pod cast. Make it a video podcast and share info on how to use certain equipment to help with problem solving. Or have children share and describe their different strategies to solve a maths problem.
  • Blog Share and reflect on new learning. Adapt ideas from podcasting suggestions.
  • Wiki Post a problem solving task. Children collaborate and add their ideas and strategies to solve the problem. Invite contributions from others. Share and reflect on learning. Post links to online Maths games. Children could add reviews and ratings about the games.
